A few years ago we decided the best birthday presents were visiting mountain lodges and Emerald Lake was one of the first we went to. The days were long, and the lake had perfect reflections. This image was captured in the morning, while everything was still calm and before the lake was covered with kayaks and canoes. It’s a special place, one we plan to visit again over the years.
