Path of the Glacier Jasper National Park

On the Path of the Glacier Trail in Jasper National Park, you’re surrounded by steep valleys and stories carved in stone. Though it was mid-day when we reached this view, the clouds added just enough drama to soften the light and cast texture across the landscape.
We were drawn to the way the ridgelines layered into the distance, each fold and contour revealed by shifting light. The snowfields, still clinging to the high elevations, offered a reminder of the glacier that shaped this valley, while a quiet band of sun lit the trees like a spotlight on the mountains’ edge.
This photo is about quiet strength — about standing still in the presence of something vast and ancient, and feeling both small and deeply connected.
